Philly’s longest-running free, all-ages Womyn’s Festival celebrates 25 years!

Womynsfest, booked and produced by Vitamin D Productions, is an annual fest of womyn musicians, singers, dancers, poets, filmmakers, speakers, visual artists and crafters of all ages and from all walks of life. The festival is a homecoming for seasoned performers while showcasing emerging artists.

Just Joey & The Perminent Side Effects,
Born in Chester, PA, Shorn Marshall has sung in church choirs since she was 6. When she was 14, she took music seriously by starting to write. By the time she became a freshman in college, she decided to learn guitar. Ever since then, she never put it down. Now she made an accomplishment by creating her first project, building her fan base by doing videos for social media, and collaborating with other artists.

Debbie Carrier has been performing her Spoken Word Poetry since 2014, under the Pen name "Deep Blue River Musings." This is her 5th year performing at Vitamin D Productions Womynsfest. Let's welcome back Deep Blue River!
Samantha “GhettoSongBird” Hollins is an award winning-world renowned Rock singer/songwriter/guitarist from Philadelphia since 2001. Her Roxsploitation band features her husband Ronin Ali on Drums, her best friend Chris Nelson on keyboard, her 13 year old son Clavé on keyboard, her 10 year old son Jembé on percussion, her 7 year old son Ikembé on percussion and her 13 year old daughter on video.
Laura Cheadle & The Girls are an all-girl lesbian girl band spreading joy with their fun Pop/Soul Rock! We advocate for women everywhere and the LGBTQ community! Laura performs on stage with her wife Michelle which is a fun sapphic love fest that the crowd loves!

Mia Johnson is a singer, guitarist, songwriter and 30-year resident of South Philadelphia. She released her last original album entitled Driver in 2004 to favorable local reviews and currently makes a living performing a large repertoire of covers and originals in area venues, senior living residences and nursing homes.
The Primaries is a colorful rock n roll four-piece (with room for more always) from Philadelphia, Pa. featuring Susan Rosetti, “Blue” (Stargazer Lily, Slo-Mo, Schooly D), Morgan Pinkstone, “Yellow” (Swedeland, No Sailor, Wes Mattheu and the New Way Down), Michelle Armour “Red” (Silver Skies, Kicking Down Doors, Clair Oaks) and Angela Armour, "Purple" (Silver Skies, Pegasus Project, Clair Oaks). What began as a supportive space for female musicians to grow skills and to try on new roles and instruments, has transformed into a live performance extravaganza featuring some of Philadelphia’s phinest musical collaborators. The Primaries play everything from funk to folk infused with fun and a sense of adventure. Audience participation enthusiastically encouraged!! Look for The Primaries' first original single, "Summer Love" out later this year.
The Poettes are an electrifying seven-member ensemble that redefines the live music experience with their unique blend of indie rock and theatrical flair. Their performances are a vibrant celebration, combining smart lyrics with infectious rhythms that compel audiences to dance and sing along. Patrice Hawthorne is a singer, actress and voiceover artist. She is the fourth Peaches of the musical duo Peaches & Herb and the bandleader of Patrice and the Show

Vitamin D & Lisa Sunshine: Vitamin D is a singer/songwriter who has been writing since she was a teenager. Her work tends to be very emotional, personal music that falls under punk, Cheezy & singer-songwriter. Some of her first songs surfaced in 1999. Fearful of the stage, she decided to sing and write on the sidelines. But due to a life changing event, she decided she was going to do this - and this time - do it her way. She has performed at her festival twice, briefly.
Lisa Sunshine is a songwriter, performer & drummer and plays drums on many of Vitamin D's songs.
