Itay Dayan's Klezmer Quintet plays Hoffman's Farewell

In 1927 Philadelphia, klezmer musician Joseph Hoffman put to paper a collection of klezmer music. This collection was passed down in his family from generation to generation. In 2023, almost 100 years later his great granddaughter, Susan Hoffman Watts, decided to share that collection with the world and publish it as The Hoffman Book. Itay Dayan was very excited about the release of this book, which is another great resource of klezmer music, so he decided to record this album. He chose 8 of the pieces that seemed most interesting, obscure, weird, special and arranged them in different ways- some more traditional than others. Come and hear this work live!
