In the event of inclement weather, this event will move inside of the venue. The entrance is on the left side of the building toward the back. There are seven steps up into the building. Or you can enter from the ramp, which is on the right side of the building toward the back.
Interactive Performance art and professional development workshop meet reader’s theater in a coming-of-age story involving an unusual black girl/woman recounting stories from her colorfully dysfunctional world. The presentation will take the audience on a moveable journey that spans the 1970s to the 2000s. Performed with script in hand and PowerPoint slides are weaved throughout the presentation to create a communal experience and an exploration of lived experiences.
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind performance! Oral storytelling as memoir takes center stage and YOU get to share your memories. The performance concludes with a soulful house dance party! So come SEE, SHARE and SHOW OUT with your dance moves. (dancing optional)
